Starter SEO Keyword Family Details:

The keywords for the SEO Starter packages have a unique structure. Each package has a different amount of total keywords, and a different amount of "Parent Keywords". The client is required to suggest Parent Keywords, and Online Marketing Depot will provide sample keyword suggestions from this point.

What are Parent and Child Keywords?

The Parent Keywords are all competitive keywords created from either 2 or 3 words and would represent the general market being targeted. The Child Keywords are additions to the Parent Keyword. The Parent Keyword can have additions such as words placed in front, behind, and in the middle of the Parent Keyword. Also, minor prefixes or suffixes may be added to the Parent Keywords. (see example further down on page)

What is a Keyword Family? Why?

One Parent Keyword, and 9 Child Keywords make for a total of 10 keywords; this keyword group of 10 is called a “Keyword Family”.  For Google algorithm reasons it is essential that keywords carry the same keyword relevance and subject matter.  Using Parent/Child Keywords keeps word specific density and theme relevance among the keywords in line with Google requirements.
